I have been translating open-source software into Polish for a while.
So far I have worked primarily on Inkscape, JOSM, openSuSE, KDE and Mixero.
There are a few reasons why I like translating software. Primarily it requires good knowledge of both languages, the source and the target. Translations are never straight forward so it’s always a good challenge to find a precise and meaningful equivalent that is also concise. Finally, this is always a prefect opportunity to read some code.
Polish version of this page contains a collection of my personal guidelines for translating software.
